Uses the AW3425DW daily for work and gaming and loves it, but has been getting bad eye strain and is looking for fixes rather than selling it.

Their new AW3926QW clicks and creaks several times a minute during normal use, especially in HDR, and the back cover has a gap; they still love the picture quality.

Owned the Alienware 39-inch 5K2K and returned it because of poor uniformity for productivity work, calling it otherwise the better screen; switched to LG's 39-inch 5K2K.

Their AW3225QF's OSD joystick has misbehaved since day one; Dell blamed a controller fault, and after three years they took the monitor apart to inspect the joystick and ribbon cable themselves.

Sold an MSI 341CQP and moved to the XG34WCDMS mainly for the higher refresh rate and day-to-day quality-of-life features; in games, apart from slightly higher perceived brightness, the newer panel isn't a big step up.

A recent XG27AQWMG buyer says HDR is simply amazing in games after calibration, but SDR is still poor with unbalanced brightness despite ICC profiles and tweaks.

Upgraded from an AW3423DW to the PG34WCDN and found the difference small: everything looks a little crisper thanks to the RGB-stripe layout and HDR is a bit brighter, but not a big improvement.

A day in with the AW3926QW, sees no CPC dimming so far and little difference in picture from their AW3426DW.

Uses the U4025QW for coding and calls it a straight upgrade if it fits on the desk: sharp text and very nice to use; the only downside is a slow response time, which rarely matters for them.

Upgraded from the AW3423DWF to the AW3926QW and says the bigger size and pixel density were worth it: much sharper than the older 1440p QD-OLED with similar brightness, though the older panel's colours have a slight edge.

Has had the U4025QW for a month and is very happy; the extra screen space at its higher resolution is a game changer.

Went from an AW3423DW to the AW3926QW and now uses both; the QD-OLED has a bit more native colour pop, but the AW3926QW is easily matched, shows cleaner greys and has clearly better text clarity from its RGB layout and higher resolution.

Upgraded from the AW3423DWF to the AW3926QW with no regrets: it can look dimmer than the old monitor, but films and games at 5K2K are worth it; notes it takes a 4090 or 5090 to run games at high settings.

Has used the 39-inch Alienware 5K2K for six weeks: the edge dimming bothered them for the first two weeks, but they no longer notice it when gaming, and colour saturation and highlights pop more than their previous LG C5 TV.

Stopped noticing the AW3926QW's edge dimming after a couple of weeks, except in Teams meetings where the participant list at the screen edge looks washed out; accepts it because the monitor is otherwise so good.

Swapped an LG 45-inch 5K2K for the Alienware 39-inch 5K2K and finds it amazing, with great-looking text.

Bought and returned the Alienware 39-inch 5K2K: the edge dimming was unacceptable and the anti-glare coating sub-par, with text clarity from the RGB layout its only real strength; recommends LG's 39-inch instead.

Has owned both 39-inch 5K2K OLEDs; the Alienware has excellent, punchy colour and inky blacks from its glossy screen, but overall brightness leaves something to be desired and the CPC edge dimming is annoying for productivity.

Owned since the start of the year and pretty good; they prefer Peak 1000 mode, the dimming is good enough and pixel shift is rarely noticeable.

Their matte G60SD looked blurrier than their new glossy QD-OLED.

After five days side by side with the PG34WCDN, they kept preferring this 4K WOLED.

“Every time I was on the ultrawide I missed the 4K. Not once did I miss the ultrawide while using the 4K.”

Their AW2726DM had the flicker defect; their MSI is brighter, and they'd keep the Alienware for dark rooms.

Their first unit had banding almost everywhere and went back; the second is much better, with banding only at very low grey levels and some dirty screen effect.

Really great with no banding in blacks; in Resident Evil Requiem its brightness made their Sony OLED TV look weak.

On their second LG 39GX950B, the cooling fan still makes a whine that is audible at a normal sitting distance.

“This is my 2nd unit already and it does the noise. I don’t even have to put my ear next to the vent to hear it. It’s audible at a normal distance.”

About a month after mounting their AW3926QW straight from the box, a gap opened between panel and frame in two spots along the top; Dell support first called it wear and tear or physical damage not covered by warranty, then the social media team offered to look into it.

Coming from an ASUS 4K OLED, found the AW3426DW washed out and dim in SDR and in every HDR mode (True Black and Peak 1300) even after adjusting settings, and is returning it; other owners in the thread say theirs look great.

Having owned many OLED monitors, this one blew them away; its coating removes the purple tint QD-OLEDs get when light hits the screen.

The 1000-nit firmware update helped brightness and dimming a lot; well behind a big TV but very good for a monitor.

Switching from a WOLED to the MSI MPG X50 27-inch 1440p QD-OLED, games look grainy, like 720p-1080p, and colours are oversaturated unless HDR is on.

On the same model the pixel cleaner sometimes leaves lines that take up to six manual runs to clear, which they blame on firmware.

Uses the AW3926QW mostly for work with some gaming and finds it fantastic: cheaper than their previous 39-inch with higher resolution and better colours; brightness could be better but is fine turned up, even in afternoon sun.

After returning other OLEDs for gray banding and text fringing, the AW3426DW is the first they kept, and they like it.

Side by side, their old AW3225QF beats the AW3926QW they switched to; they can't get the WOLED as satisfying and its ABL is annoying.

Not happy with it: they cite banding, mura and near-black artifacts typical of tandem WOLED panels.

A couple of days in they noticed banding in Google dark mode and are considering a QD-OLED instead.

Picky about image quality, their AW3926QW shows uniformity issues on single-colour test images, but in normal use they notice only bright colours, sharpness, deep blacks and the huge size; not for all-day white spreadsheets.

After a flat Samsung OLED underwhelmed them, switching to the AW3225 finally delivered impressive HDR.

Upgraded from an LG C2 TV to the AW3926QW for World of Warcraft and is keeping it; can't see any issue in regular use and has no complaints.

Tested the AW3926QW side by side with LG's 39-inch at matched brightness and returned the Alienware: a white-to-grey gradient on the left side was distracting on white backgrounds, a dealbreaker for a monitor that doubles for work.

Bought both the U4025QW and the AW3926QW; the Dell's matte finish handled reflections better, its brightness was easier to tune with no hotspots, and the candle-light mode is very comfortable on the eyes.

Recently bought the Neo G9 57-inch and still thinks it's great, but it runs hot enough that they keep a desk fan on it to move the heat away from their hands.

Their G60SF is full of annoyances: poor profile software, slow or failed wake and constant input pop-ups.

Their second XG27AQDMG panel also glitches briefly to the right, repeatedly in intense games.

After a month of daily use, they noticed glinting flecks under the surface of their MPG 272URX panel, mostly near the middle.

After 1000 hours and about 150 pixel-clean cycles their MO27Q28G still shows visible grey banding in dark games, and hiding it costs picture detail.

After two weeks with the AW3926QW, their first OLED: stunning picture, crisp text and deep blacks; the glossy screen's anti-reflective coating makes it more usable in a bright room than their matte Dell UltraSharp.

Compared side by side with the MPG 274URDFW E16M, the MAG 274QPF X30MV has much better black level and contrast without local dimming artifacts, so they kept it.

Bought the 32GX850A for £530 and is very happy with it; much more comfortable on the eyes than their previous 240Hz QD-OLED.

The MPG 274URDFW E16M only matches the cheaper MAG's blacks at local dimming level 3, which turns greys brown, crushes blacks and shows visible zones following the mouse.

Loved the 27GX700A-B's picture despite gray uniformity and VRR issues, but it showed burn-in after only about 600 hours.

Over a year with the AOC Q27G3XMN: HDR factory calibration was way off until they built a custom LUT; brighter than their Philips OLED, but worse in contrast, saturation and clarity.

Uses the PG32UCDM Gen 3 with an Apple TV 4K and finds it great for both media and gaming.

Their first G80SH 32 arrived with a deformed frame and bulging glass, and the replacement has DisplayPort failures and artifacts.

After 13 months and 5000 hours with all care features on, their XG27AQDMG developed a bright streak in the middle of the screen.

Finds the MSI 271QPX32 amazing: natural colors, excellent HDR highlights, excellent uniformity, easy setup, and a black film that deepens blacks.

Bought two AW3926QW units and both had issues and a dim screen; coming from a PG32UCDM3 it felt like a brightness downgrade, and the LG 39GX was brighter without the problems.

Uses the MSI MPG E16M Mini-LED for PS5 and PC: HDR looks amazing with no flicker, blooming or black crush.

Using the Q27G3XMN with a PS5, they can't get HDR at 1440p (it forces 2160p and looks grey), so apart from its brightness it feels like wasted money.

Sold their Neo G9 57-inch, regretted it and bought another; after trying an LG C2, the AW3225QF and a Samsung 32-inch QD-OLED, still finds the 57-inch the most satisfying.

Their AW2725DF developed a slight pink tint; Dell replaced it under warranty but the replacement shows the same tint.

Returned the AW3926QW partly because SDR brightness was poor next to LG's 39-inch, though text looked really good thanks to the RGB-stripe layout.

Coming from an LG 34-inch IPS and an LG C1, found the AW3926QW too dim for SDR browsing, with eye strain, and later returned it.

Plays Destiny 2 on the AW3926QW with native HDR and finds highlights pop and colours accurate; edge dimming only shows on solid white and pale orange looks slightly green at the right edge, not enough to return a 5K2K RGB OLED that costs $600 less than the LG.

Two days into owning the AW3926QW, can see the edge uniformity issue only when looking for it, not in games or everyday use, and thinks the rest of the monitor makes it a great choice.

Even after calibration their KTC M27T6 looks too grainy and strains their eyes.

Prefers the PG27UCWM over the PG27UCDM for perfect text clarity and a crisp glossy screen, but its strong ABL dimming may make them return it.

Their new late-2025-batch XG27AQWMG shows bad banding lines in dark scenes and grayscale tests despite firmware updates and pixel cleaning.

Tried newer QD-OLEDs but went back to their XG32UCWMG, which they consider the king for deep blacks.

Finds their XG27UCDMG unbelievable and amazing, their favourite of their two OLEDs.

Had both: the PG27UCDM had less ABL dimming and slightly better colors with a semi-gloss coating, but they returned it because its text fringing caused eye strain.

Went through three AW3926QW units (a scratch and a visible gap on the first two) and measured them with a calibrator: the edge dimming behaved practically the same on all three; finds 120 nits comfortable and HDR can get uncomfortably bright.

Nearly 3 years on the AW3225QF with zero burn-in; an amazing monitor.

Uses the MSI MAG 341CQP QD-OLED X28; the worst thing is still scratch resistance despite the new film, which they've learned to live with.

Their new AW3226Q was dead on arrival (power LED blinking SOS); Dell arranged an exchange via email support.

Uses the MSI MPG 271QR QD-OLED X50 at 500Hz for CS2 and finds it beautiful and great for their game.

“Is 500Hz too much for CS2? Probably! Does it maximize my endorphins and make me better in my head? Absolutely! Also, it just looks beautiful.”

Moved from a 35" ultrawide to the LG 32GX870A-B: a keeper, crisp 4K with great color depth and contrast out of the box.

After 17 trouble-free months, their XG27AQDMG developed a persistent artifact that survived resets, cables and driver updates, likely needing an RMA.

Returned the AW3926QW despite its good £1000 price because the aggressive CPC edge dimming, which they say affects every unit, was unacceptable.

Bought the AW3426DW on sale and loves it; ultrawide took some getting used to, but games leave them in awe, coming from a 27" 240Hz WOLED.

Their first AW3926QW had atrocious edge dimming; the September 2026 replacement is far better, with only faint green tint on all-white images, and has been rock solid.

Loves the PG27UCWM after weeks: colors pop, no noticeable banding or DSE, perfect blacks and no text fringing.

Super happy with the Gigabyte MO32U24 after 8 months on the MO27Q28G: the new QD-OLED fixed everything they disliked, at half the price of ASUS's version.

The XG27ACDNG had amazing colors but some flicker at 360Hz and dim whites; after trying a tandem WOLED that looked flat, they bought the ASUS back.

Comparing against the AW3926QW, their AW3425DW QD-OLED has noticeably more color pop and depth and better viewing angles.

Coming from the AW2725Q, finds the Gigabyte MO32U24 amazing: a brighter panel with much less raised blacks in a bright room.

Compared a larger monitor against their PG32UCDM and found the PG32UCDM has the nicer panel, though it now feels small.

Replaced a Dell S3422DWG VA with the AW3426DW and was underwhelmed at first by washed-out colours in SDR and HDR games; Windows HDR settings and toggling HDR modes on the monitor mostly sorted it out.

Found the AW3926QW much darker than expected out of the box; got SDR and HDR looking good after tuning, but some games such as Forza Horizon 6 still felt too dark.

A new owner of the Acer Predator X27U W3 26.5-inch QD-OLED, coming from a 1080p 144Hz monitor, calls the jump in image quality, contrast, colours and clarity insane, though they prefer HDR off.

After a couple of weeks with the AW3926QW: CPC dimming never showed in HDR gaming but was very noticeable at low brightness on white documents at first, since less so; off-axis gamma shift is noticeable but not annoying.

Their AW3426DW's control board failed after three days: the OSD kept opening and scrolling on its own, then stopped responding; they ordered a replacement.

An Alienware AW3426DW owner testing HDR modes says True Black 500 with in-game brightness raised looks incredible in bright games, though it can feel slightly dim at default settings.

“In games with high average picture levels like Battlefield, True Black 500 with in-game World Brightness pushed around 80 looks incredible.”

An Alienware AW3426DW owner coming from IPS uses True Black 500 at modest brightness and says it is so bright in Cyberpunk 2077 that they can't understand complaints about it being dim.

“Personally i use tb500. I use modest brightness settings, coming from ips if I crank it up and look at a neon light in cp2077 it burns my retinas lol.”

Their brand-new PG27UCWM showed white spots out of the box; a pixel cleaning cycle fixed it.

Uses the MO27Q28G with a PC and PS5 Pro: the PS5 is limited to YUV422 at 1440p 120Hz HDR, and the monitor is slow to switch inputs and wake from standby.

Their PG27AQWP had perfect text clarity next to an IPS; the only downside was gray banding.

About a year after buying the ASUS ProArt PA27JCV and never moving it, a thick band of vertical red lines appeared in the middle of the screen.

After about two days, their AW3926QW flickered and then the display went blank for good despite power cycling and new cables; they enjoyed it while it worked but are returning it for a refund.

After an AW3821DW and two AW3423DWs with flickering and burn-in, moved to the U4025QW and calls it maybe their best purchase ever.

A buyer returned the ASUS XG27AQDMG shortly after purchase because of grey banding, which they say is a common problem on this model and the forum fixes did not help.

“No it is not fine and is exactly why I returned this monitor shortly after buying it. It is a common problem on this model.”

Uses the AW3426DW for work and gaming with the 3-year warranty, dark theme and a hidden taskbar; text clarity is great and gaming even better.

Their AW3225QF developed white spots that got worse; they're requesting a fourth replacement.

Returned two AW3926QW units: the image always looked dimmer or washed out towards the edges; the LG 39 they switched to is consistent edge to edge.

“The AW39 always felt like it had a sweet spot dead center, with the image looking noticeably dimmer or washed out as you moved toward the edges.”

Tried the LG 38GL950G, 45GX950A and 39GX950B and the U4025QW over a year; the Dell was their favourite, used 80% for Mac productivity and 20% PC gaming, with a little ghosting coming from OLED that doesn't bother them.

“The Dell was my favorite by far, and it's what I'm using today. I absolutely love it. I use it for 80% productivity on my Mac, and 20% gaming on my PC.”

A year with the AW3225QF: HDR sometimes looks great and sometimes washed out, and they had to turn off in-game HDR in some games.

Has played close to 50 hours on the AW3926QW and hasn't seen any of the uniformity issues others report.

Two years with the AW3225QF and spoiled by it: everything else looks worse and they feel much more productive at home on it.

Their July 2026 AW3926QW shows no visible problems, and they find its quality and features for the price outstanding; the KVM works fine for them through a hub.
